BELOVED British troubadour and activist Billy Bragg will bring his folk-punk political protest tunes back to Hobart in October.
Bragg is as well-known for his commitment to grassroots left-wing political movements as he is for his prolific musical career.
That career has spanned 14 albums since 1977.
He is set to tour Australia in October with a new two-part show.
The first half will celebrate the legacy of one of Bragg's musical influences, legendary folk singer Woody Guthrie.
The second half of each concert will take audiences on a rock journey through Bragg's extensive back catalogue.
Bragg will perform at the Federation Concert Hall on October 21.
